This year, the Dasara celebrations in Mangaluru were enlivened by the presence of Bollywood star Sanjay Dutt, causing excitement among fans. Sanjay arrived on a private jet and first visited the Kateel Durga Parameshwari temple to pay his respects. He then went to the Biruver Kudla grounds to take part in the Oodhu Pooja, a traditional ritual linked with the tiger dance, which captivated the crowd. Fans enthusiastically cheered for him, affectionately calling him 'Sanju Baba'. Sanjay expressed his happiness, stating, "I am delighted to be in Mangaluru," and commended the warm hospitality of the locals. Sanjay's visit concluded with a visit to the Kudroli Gokarnath Temple before he returned to Mumbai in time to offer condolences to the family of the late Maharashtra politician Baba Siddique.
